Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville Hospital (Surgery Center) seeks a Surgical Tech II to assist surgeons with instrumentation and sterile technique in the OR, and to provide patient care in the clinical setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of surgical technologist program is required.
• Certification within 1 year of hire: NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with instrumentation and sterile technique in the OR.
• Provide patient care in the clinical setting as assigned.
• Maintain and handle basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Support on-time case starts and efficient room turnover.
• Follow AORN/AST standards and hospital policies.
• Ensure patient safety and proper documentation.
