Qualifications

• Completion of validation skills.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
• Ability to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team.
• Ability to organize, promote, and conduct in-services on unit.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
• Assists team with terminal cleaning and prep for next patient.
• Passes instruments and ensures sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Maintains accurate counts and supports patient safety.
