Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with graduation from a surgical technologist program.
• Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or AST within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgeon by providing basic instrumentation and sterile techniques for procedures in the Operating Room.
• Care and handling of basic surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures and participate in safety and education initiatives.
• Support research and performance improvement activities as needed.
