Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Utah is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech II to support the Operating Room team. You will assist staff during procedures and help prepare the OR, acting as a preceptor for other techs.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to safety policies. You will ensure readiness of OR and collaborate with housekeeping and central processing, while supporting the surgical team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, patient centered care as you assist staff during operative and invasive procedures.
• Ensure the operating room is prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed.
• Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct surgery inpatient identification and verification of the procedure in the OR.
• Rely on previous experience to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
• Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene and universal precautions.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked/organized, and safe patient care environment.
