Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the scrub team. You will support intraoperative care and collaborate with licensed staff to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program credential or equivalent experience, GED, and BCLS certification. On-site shifts include weekends with additional shifts and call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire; CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role with increasing responsibility.
• Provides patient care with strong critical thinking and problem solving.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff.
• Performs patient care for clients of various ages under RN direction.

Schedule: 6:45am-5:15pm Every Saturday-Sunday; 2 Additional Weekdays (4 10-hour shifts); Call is Required

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required
