Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist. This position requires supporting surgical teams and performing various technical tasks to assure patient care before, during, and after surgery. Candidates must have relevant certification and are encouraged to apply if they have at least one year of college experience or equivalent. Compensations include sign-on bonuses based on experience as well as opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school or equivalent education.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association needed within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical setup with instruments and supplies.
• Utilize proper aseptic techniques for procedures.
• Position and drape patients for surgery.
• Anticipate surgeon preference and adapt care accordingly.
• Perform counts for sponges and instruments.
• Maintain cost-effective resources.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
