Job summary

A healthcare provider in Pennsylvania is seeking a Surgical Technologist Chief to perform direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, performing counts, and assisting in the surgical suite setup. Candidates must have a Surgical Technologist certification and CPR certification from the American Heart Association. A sign-on bonus is available based on experience.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Initiates changes to physician preference list and assures that team members are aware of changes.
• Maintains inventory for the service area assigned.
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument count.
• Orients new team members to assigned service area.
• Assists in setting up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Scrubs in prescribed manner, hands physician instruments required during surgery.
