Job summary

Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, is seeking Surgical Technologists for full-time roles with a sign-on bonus based on experience. Positions involve assisting in the operating room, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting team-based patient care.

Qualified candidates should have an Accredited Surgical Technologist program and CST/TS-C certification within 6 months of hire; military programs accepted, CPR within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire.
• Military programs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Set up the surgical operating suite with instruments and supplies.
• Follow aseptic technique and standard precautions for medications and specimens.
• Assist with patient prepping, positioning and draping; participate in surgical pause to verify patient and site.
• Assist with updating surgeon preference materials and adapt to patient care variables.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
• Use resources to promote cost-effective patient care and environment.
