Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, nurses, and the team in the operating room. You will help prepare the OR, pass instruments, and ensure sterility and safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and CST preferred. Prior OR experience is a plus; the role is onsite with rotating shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• CST certification preferred (NBSTSA).
• State dental license preferred (HR).
• NH medical imaging license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
• Transport patients to the OR and assist with positioning.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain instrument sterility and cleanliness.
• Document surgical procedures and counts accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff.
• Assist with preparing the surgical site and drains as directed.
