Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or First Assist in an acute care setting.
• Certification as CST, CSFA, or CSA is required per applicable pathway.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and prepare sterile supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assist with exposure, retractors, suction, and sponging as directed.
• Dissect tissues, control bleeding, place drains per surgeon instructions.
• Assist wound closure and dressings under supervision.
• Maintain sterility and safety, perform counting and infection control.
• Prepare instruments for decontamination and transport for sterilization.
• Support post-procedure turnover and room readiness.
