Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician or First Assist in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize sterile supplies; maintain sterile field; provide instruments.
• Perform first assistant duties: exposure, retractors, suction, and sponging as directed.
• Handle tissues, clamp vessels, coagulate bleeding points, and place drains.
• Assist with wound closure and dressing per surgeon instructions.
• Ensure sterility and safety; conduct counting procedures; infection control.
