Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Completion of Allina Health Surgical Technologist Apprentice program within 1 year of hire.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the OR and sets up for procedures.
• Identifies supplies, instruments and equipment needed.
• Maintains a sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Follows regulatory requirements for instrument handling and use.
• Assists the physician in the scrub role during procedures and takes call after orientation.
