Prisma Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team across patient ages before, during, and after procedures. You will perform scrub duties, prepare the OR, maintain aseptic technique, and support staff with instrument counts and specimen care.

This entry-level position requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and CST certification or eligibility, with opportunities for training and advancement within the Operating Room department.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program.
• No prior experience required.
• Current CST certification or eligible per state guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Assist in scrub duties as part of the surgical team.
• Prepare OR by arranging sterile supplies and instruments per case.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for breaches; correct as needed.
• Count instruments, needles and sponges during procedures.
• Care for specimens and manage drugs/solutions under RN direction.
• Clean and prep rooms between procedures and perform terminal cleaning at day’s end.
