Responsibilities

• Assists the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Handles surgical instruments and ensures proper sterilization, inspection, and assembly.
• Performs counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfer during procedures.
• Maintains physician preference cards and ensures supplies for procedures are available.
• Reprocesses and sterilizes instruments following established protocols.
• Restocks supplies and ensures OR readiness for subsequent cases.
