Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for our Baldwin County ASC in Fairhope, AL.

The scrub tech will assist in surgical operations under supervision of physicians and nurses, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a surgical technologist education, BLS certification, and 1–2 years of OR experience, with strong verbal and written English communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of OR experience preferred, may consider 0–2 years in related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be computer literate with basic computing skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile field and prepare instruments for procedures.
• Prepare operating room and maintain sterile equipment and supplies.
• Follow state and federal regulations for patient care.
• Perform pre-procedure skin prep and assist with patient safety checks.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Assist with patient transport and positioning as needed.
• Assist with specimen handling and room cleanup after procedures.
• Support inventory, decontamination, and sterility testing processes.
