Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School with certification preferred, or one year of on the job experience.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments and equipment before operations.
• Follows facility regulations to attend to patients.
• Performs pre-procedure skin prep and safety checks.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensures proper operation.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants; participates in counts.
• Assists with patient transfer and positioning as needed.
• Cleans, restocks, and inventories operating room supplies.
