Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Materials Management Coordinator to support procurement, inventory control, and coordination of supplies across hospital departments. You will manage ordering, receiving, and records, while collaborating with Surgical Services, Materials Management, and physician offices to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining par levels, coordinating with IT for item data, and training staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years’ hospital materials management experience.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and sterile technique.
• Proficient in English (reading/writing/speaking).
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Inventory management and contract compliance knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of operational supply chain systems.
• Coordinate timely ordering and receiving of items.
• Maintain records and reconcile procurement activities.
• Collaborate with OR management and IT; update CDMs and bin locations.
• Conduct cycle counts and manage par levels.
• Place orders and verify receipts per protocol.
• Assist in training staff and space/resource planning.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities and process improvements.
• Ensure proper labeling and cross-matching of supplies.
• Perform other related duties.
