Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist I for Surgical Services. You will manage surgical supplies, implants, and equipment, maintain par levels, perform cycle counts, and ensure readiness for procedures while supporting patient safety and cost containment.

Full-time, Monday–Friday 6:45am–3:15pm; requires High School diploma or GED and BLS within 30 days; EPIC inventory knowledge preferred; strong organization and communication skills are

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS Heartsaver certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with inventory of materials and asset management.
• Knowledge of inventory management concepts.
• Knowledge of EPIC inventory charges.
• Excellent communication with physicians, nursing staff, and vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrates care for patients across age continuum.

• Maintain accurate inventory of surgical supplies, implants, equipment, and other Surgical Services inventory.
• Establish par levels based on procedure volume and clinical needs.
• Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain organized, clean, and standardized supply storage.
• Rotate supplies with expiration-management practices.
• Monitor inventory for overstock, understock, and obsolete products.
• Review surgical schedule to anticipate needs.
• Identify required supplies for upcoming procedures.
• Verify availability of critical items before cases.
• Assist with ensuring supplies are ready before procedures.
• Coordinate with SPD regarding instrument needs.
• Place supply orders per established processes.
• Monitor vendor lead times and product availability.
• Receive and inspect incoming supplies for quantity, damage, expiration dates.
• Ensure proper storage after receipt.
• Communicate discrepancies to Materials Management or vendors.
• Monitor expiration dates and assist with recalls.
• Maintain inventory data in hospital systems.
