Responsibilities

• Coordinates procurement of routine and specialty supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Receives requests for special equipment and procures them for the correct patient, procedure, date, and time.
• Maintains daily electronic billing of supply/implant entries and ensures accurate pricing.
• Supports cost containment and evaluates substitution options for supplies and instrumentation.
• Reviews delivery receipts and verifies cost, quantity prior to payment; coordinates with billing/auditing staff.
• Coordinates with supply chain and inventory systems to reduce freeform purchase orders.
• Maintains capital equipment inventory and coordinates preventive maintenance schedules.
• Vets new equipment and maintains par levels for all supply locations.
• Assists with physician preference cards and related record keeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
