Job summary

Novi Surgery Center is seeking an Inventory Specialist to ensure timely availability of surgical supplies and equipment. You will collaborate with clinical teams to streamline stock levels, manage vendor relations, and oversee purchasing processes.

Responsibilities include evaluating back orders, conducting supplier negotiations, and maintaining compliant procurement records, while supporting daily operations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for all surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical team to complete work promptly.
• Order supplies, replenish locations, rotate stock, label par locations, and manage back orders or substitutions.
• Coordinate with Finance to resolve purchase order issues and returns.
• Review par levels, optimize inventory, and ensure FIFO for shelf-life items.
• Participate in inventory improvements and audits with vendors.
• Track expired/obsolete inventory and coordinate donations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient-related information and adhere to safety practices.
• Sourcing vendors, bidding, evaluating proposals, and maintaining contracts and POs.
• Negotiate terms and manage vendor relationships; onboard new vendors.
• Perform other duties and support other departments as needed.
