Fort Washington Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Operations Manager for the Surgical Services Department. This role leads the OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing units, aligning workflows with organizational strategy and quality goals.

The position requires ASN with a BSN preferred, Maryland RN licensure, BLS, and 3–5 years in surgical services leadership. Strong budgeting, regulatory, and team-development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Maryland RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Leadership or perioperative nursing certification within 1 year of hire.
• 3–5 years of experience in surgical services or a department leadership role.
• 1–2 years Operating Room experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple units and interdisciplinary teams.
• Budget oversight, operational management, and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Operationalize the strategic plan for surgical services.
• Develop and monitor department objectives, productivity targets, and performance metrics.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and evaluation for managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Oversee daily operations of the OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and Sterile Processing units.
• Ensure alignment of inpatient and outpatient surgical workflows for efficiency.
• Participate in budget development, capital planning, and financial monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC and Lean.
