Job summary

The role requires BSN with Texas RN licensure and 5–7 years OR experience plus 5–10 years in leadership, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Strong budget and staff management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required.
• Current RN licensure in Texas or Compact; BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• 5-7 years OR experience in hospital setting; 5-10 years management/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and monitors departmental budgets including staffing plans and productivity targets.
• Identifies opportunities for departmental improvements and implements action plans.
• Provides needs assessment; sets goals and develops plans to achieve objectives.
• Develops and maintains departmental policies and procedures; ensures compliance.
• Governs peri-operative services and liaises with hospital medical staff and administration.
• Leads strategic planning for Peri-Operative services in collaboration with nursing leadership.
• Leads performance improvement activities and represents the department on interdisciplinary teams.
