Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Surgical Services to oversee daily operations across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. You will lead clinical and non-clinical staff, drive quality initiatives, and align surgical services with hospital goals.

You will collaborate with physicians and leadership to ensure high-quality patient-centered care, implement evidence-based practices, and oversee budgets and strategic planning to optimize outcomes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.
• 4+ years of direct experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees delivery of patient care across the surgical continuum.
• Supervises and evaluates performance of staff in surgical services.
• Applies evidence-based practices to improve outcomes and safety.
• Analyzes data on satisfaction, quality metrics and operations for improvement.
• Develops and implements policies for surgical services per guidelines.
• Collaborates with physicians and leaders to ensure effective communication.
• Engages staff in identifying improvement opportunities and risk mitigation.
• Participates in strategic planning and capital/resource planning for surgery.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
