Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a Surgical Services Coordinator to support neurosurgery, general surgery and orthopedics lines. You will liaise with surgeons, coordinate supplies, and optimize operations within the Surgical Services department.

You will contribute to process improvements, data analytics and onboarding while maintaining a cheerful, proactive attitude in a high-demand setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred CST certification.
• 3–5 years OR/surgical technologist experience or military surgical tech program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must demonstrate organization skills.
• Outgoing, energetic and pleasant demeanor when working with surgeons in high-demand environments.
• Understanding of how a surgery department and systems function for high performance.
• Two+ years experience in surgery inventory management or related experience preferred.
• Clinical experience with surgeons and surgical services supplies/instruments preferred.
• Commitment to compliance and Code of Conduct per policies and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of neurosurgery, general surgery and orthopedics service lines.
• Meet surgeons’ needs for efficient and pleasant surgeon experience.
• Develop relationships with surgeons and procure supplies/equipment per preferences.
• Configure surgery preference card system.
• Support data analytics, reporting, business plans and surgeon onboarding.
• Generate dashboard reports.
• Assist with meeting preparations (PowerPoint, handouts, boards).
• Collaborate with Surgical Services team for quality improvement and efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
