Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• State of Colorado Surgical Registry required.
• BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist State License required.
• Surgical Technologist National Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently assists physicians with operative procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon/physician’s needs before and during procedures.
• Maintains sterility of supplies and instruments during setup.
• Counts sponges, needles and instruments pre- and intra-operatively with the circulating nurse.
• Gowns and gloves surgeons and assistants.
• Ensures patient privacy and safety per policy.
