Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Scrub Tech to support the surgical team in providing safe and effective operative procedures. The role reports to Surgical Services management and works under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile fields, preparing ORs and instruments, assisting surgeons, and ensuring safety protocols. Candidates may participate in training and contribute annual educational offerings within the department.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Competent in Basic Procedures or 1+ specialty areas and/or facility case mix.
• Must be in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Ensure operating room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria.
• Maintain sterile field and safe environment.
• Identify and address sharps and fire safety processes.
• Prepare OR and instruments for procedure.
• Assist with sterile processing as needed.
• Assist surgeon during procedure within ORT scope of practice.
• Identify emergencies and execute appropriate procedures.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and prep for next procedure.
• Participate in training and mentoring and provide at least one educational offering or short-term project per year.
