Distro in the United States is seeking a surgical scrub technician to ensure proper care and use of surgical instruments, maintain sterile technique, and support the operating room team. The role requires high school diploma or GED, completion of a surgical scrub course, and OR experience; ASC experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assemble supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians’ preference cards.
• Inspect equipment for proper working condition.
• Follow aseptic technique and operating room procedures.
• Adhere to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for procedures.
• Arrange instruments according to the given procedure and confirm instruments work properly.
• Maintain availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays.
• Report observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and take action according to policy.
• Care for, clean, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed.
• Handle equipment and instruments to ensure appropriate availability and safety.
• Maintain and update instrument cards and surgeons’ preference cards.
