Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years within the last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• National Center for Competency Testing Certificate – Technologist in Surgery OR Surgical Technologist Certificate from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Basic Life Support is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during procedures by scrubbing and passing instruments.
• Sets up room and maintains sterility; ensures equipment is ready and functional.
• Transports supplies, specimens, and patients as needed within the department.
