Job summary

MercyOne Health System seeks a Surgical Technologist to prepare operating rooms, maintain sterility, and assist in a range of procedures. Ideal candidates will have an accredited surgical technology education, CST/LPN credentials where applicable, and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; required if working in Illinois.
• 2–5 years strongly preferred; BLS certification recommended.
• Ability to work under pressure and with independence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field during the surgical procedure.
• Assist with procedures such as colonoscopies, endoscopies, cataracts, and general surgeries.
