Job summary

MercyOne Genesis, part of Trinity Health, is hiring a Surgical Technician to support intraoperative patient care as a scrub tech under RN supervision. Full-time, day shift, 9am–5:30pm with on-call rotation for nights, weekends and holidays.

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent; CST certification preferred; BLS; ability to work under pressure and with diverse teams. CST required within 18 months if working in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; CST required within 18 months if working in Illinois.
• LPN license required if you are a graduate of an LPN program.
• BLS; Mandatory Reporter; ability to work under pressure and with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Functions in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Support the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center and adhere to standards.
