Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to coordinate all procedures and surgeries within the WPPA Heart & Vascular practice. You will serve as the liaison among patients, physicians, clinical teams, and perioperative departments to ensure smooth scheduling and communication.

The role involves interacting with care teams, prioritizing daily tasks, and supporting patient rights and safety while using Meditech, EPIC, OMP, EMMI, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of administrative office experience.
• 1–3 years of surgical scheduling experience preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates all procedures and surgeries.
• Obtains pre-certification for tests/procedures and verifies insurance and demographics.
• Maintains and updates patient charts; supports care teams and patients.
• Works with scheduling team and hospital departments; participates in daily huddles.
