Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center in Harrison, NY is seeking a WPPA Surgical Scheduler to coordinate all procedures and surgeries within the Physician Practice. You will liaise with patients, providers, and perioperative staff to ensure timely scheduling and accurate patient information.

The role requires 4-6 years of office experience, familiarity with Meditech/EPIC and a strong attention to detail. Day shift, Mon-Fri, 80 hours per pay period, with pay range $22.00–$32.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School required or GED.
• 4-6 years minimum.
• 5 years of experience using administrative office skills required.
• 1-3 years Previous experience in surgical scheduling preferred.
• Preferred proficiency in electronic health records (Low proficiency).

Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
• Scheduling all testing/procedures/surgeries; obtaining pre-certification; verifying insurance and demographics; scanning and chart updates.
• Communicates with patients to review pre- and post-operative requirements and follow up as needed.
• Collaborates with WPH surgical scheduling team and other stakeholders to promote smooth operations.
• Works to prioritize and manage daily assignments within standard hours.
• Participates in daily huddles and routine practice meetings.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Meditech, EPIC, OMP, EMMI and MS Office.
• Adheres to infection control standards and completes mandatory requirements.
