Job summary

Lifespan is seeking a Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to manage surgical scheduling duties across multiple hospital operating rooms. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in medical terminology.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years experience in surgical scheduling, working in a healthcare environment. The position is located at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, with a pay range of $19.03–$31.39 and a work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a surgical scheduler in a physician’s office.
• Demonstrated ability to provide care to patients considering aging and human development.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures and surgical scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule elective and urgent surgeries according to hospital guidelines.
• Communicate schedule changes with the OR, PAT, and physician offices.
• Utilize designated computer software to schedule surgical cases.
