Job summary

CharterCARE of Rhode Island is seeking a Coordinator, Specialty Scheduling - CCMA to organize and communicate patient information to specialty team members. You will support administrative processes, prepare requisitions for labs and imaging, and enter post‑case data in Meditech.

You will schedule surgery dates among patients, physicians, and hospitals, and arrange pre‑op testing to occur before surgery. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years in medical scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in the medical field.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with scheduling and coordinating dates.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and coordinates surgery dates among patients, physicians, and hospitals.
  • Prepares requisitions for laboratory tests, X-ray exams and blood tests.
  • Enters post‑case data in Meditech system and supports administrative tasks.
  • Coordinates non-surgical diagnostic testing prior to surgery date.
