Job summary

Froedtert ThedaCare in Milwaukee is hiring for an Onsite Operating Room Scheduler. The role supports surgical and procedural scheduling and serves as a communication link among nursing teams, physicians and clinics.

You will assign cases to time slots, work with OR service coordinators to ensure equipment and staff readiness, and create the daily operating room schedule with attention to patient demographics and pre-certification.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is required.
• Three years previous clerical and surgery scheduling system experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical cases and assign time slots.
• Coordinate with nursing team, physicians and clinics.
• Create daily OR schedule including patient demographics, pre-certification and admission status.
• Identify and escalate surgical case discrepancies using block time and available slots.
• Ensure proper equipment, procedure time and staff needs are aligned with scheduling.
