Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One to two years of clerical experience is required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physician offices, ED personnel, and charge nurse to post, triage, and facilitate add-on procedures.
• Selects the correct Preference List from Surgeon's File Listing to request and reserve instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for each scheduled case.
• Uses basic OR equipment/instrumentation knowledge to identify conflicts with case requirements.
• Resolves scheduling conflicts with Scheduling Supervisor/Assistant Nurse Manager to optimize flow and resources for patient, surgeon, and system.
• Processes urgent case scheduling in collaboration with OR leadership and Anesthesia.
• Captures patient information and completes designated fields using SurgiNet software for accurate transmission and use.
