The position requires a bachelor’s degree with healthcare experience and familiarity with OR operations. It is a full-time, on-site role located at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, social sciences, human resources, or equivalent preferred.
• Six years of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in OR administrative environment required.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of staff doing the same work.
• Assigns daily tasks to other members of the team, providing oversight and support as necessary.
• Performs most complex tasks or procedures.
• Mentors and trains new employees to help them reach the standards of the department.
• Provides input regarding team members’ performances, recommending disciplinary action when required.
• Serves as a resource to staff and collaborating departments in resolving complex issues and by providing technical skills.
• Coordinates the daily surgical schedule with the Chief of Anesthesiology ensuring accuracy and making changes as necessary.
