Job summary

MemorialCare Health System is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage daily surgical and diagnostic procedure schedules, ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality. The role involves check-in duties, billing for services, and collaborating with departments, staff offices and physicians to keep schedules current.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hospital scheduling experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and proficient use of Windows-based Office tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a surgery or diagnostic procedure scheduler in a hospital setting.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling software experience.
• Excellent computer skills in Windows with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, develop and revise daily schedules ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Process patient records, verify nurse notes, and input charge sheets timely.
• Coordinate with departments, staff offices, and physicians throughout scheduling.
• Serve as a preceptor and train staff on scheduling processes.
• Maintain scheduling program updates and data tracking.
