Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to direct, coordinate, and facilitate surgical scheduling for all clinic physicians. You will apply administrative, financial, and operational policies to support continuity of care for surgical patients and improve overall workflow.

Based in St. Augustine area, the role is full-time with 8:00am-4:30pm hours, Monday through Friday, reporting to healthcare leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Terminology Course preferred.
• 1 year of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and facilitate surgical scheduling activities for all clinic physicians.
• Apply appropriate administrative, financial, and operational policies and procedures to support continuity of care for surgical patients.
• Coordinate surgical scheduling processes to ensure efficient patient flow and timely access to care.
• Serve as a liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support effective communication and coordination of surgical services.
