Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures based on referrals per established standards; verify physician privileges before scheduling.
• Gather and document insurance eligibility data and enter data into the patient’s EHR.
• Coordinate pre-surgery clearance requirements prior to procedures.
• Contact patients to reschedule missed/cancelled appointments and document no-shows.
• Arrange for special/ancillary patient needs such as transportation and interpreters.
• Assist in scheduling of specialty care visits with relevant departments.
