Qualifications

• Ability to type 40 wpm, use standard office equipment and be computer literate.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum one year experience in computerized appointment scheduling.
• Two years medical clerical experience preferred.
• Good communication and language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of surgical procedures and assist in daily operation of facility activities.
• Assist with scheduling/admitting activities and reception duties; promote communication throughout the facility.
• Maintain facility medical records per guidelines and requirements.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and phone calls; handle heavy call volume.
• Ensure insurance information is collected during scheduling and verify eligibility as needed.
