Jefferson Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to professionally schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience. The role emphasizes timely, courteous treatment and supports the Jefferson Experience across patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-op steps, collecting insurance data and obtaining authorizations, scheduling calls, providing pre-operative instructions, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while handling a time-sensitive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review patient insurance information, including obtaining prior authorizations and referrals, and ensure approvals are in place before scheduled procedures.
• Complete pre-procedure phone calls and confirm appointment times with patients.
• Provide patients with all necessary pre-operative instructions.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
