Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to join our team in Fairfax, VA. The role focuses on organizing surgical procedures, collecting accurate coding information, and coordinating with providers, call centers, and clinics to ensure timely and efficient surgery schedules.

You will support day-to-day operations, verify patient details, and help keep the OR on track by monitoring scheduling changes and pre-operative requirements. This is a contract position with a 3+ month duration.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating operating room resources.
• Familiarity with CPT coding and medical scheduling workflows.
• Ability to track pre-op requirements and communicate with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates all surgical procedures with allocated OR time.
• Ensures required CPT codes and patient information are captured for posting.
• Coordinates equipment, instruments, and supplies with OR teams as needed.
• Resolves scheduling conflicts by collaborating with OR staff and leadership.
• Keeps patients informed of scheduling changes and pre-operative steps.
