Job summary

Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to support physicians and a busy practice with clinical and clerical tasks. You will coordinate all surgical procedures, manage pre-authorizations, and assist patients and staff with administrative needs.

You will also handle patient check-ins/check-outs, verify demographics, collect co-pays, and ensure H&Ps and documents are complete for the week. This onsite role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate all surgical procedures, ensuring materials are prepared and pre-clearances obtained.
• Assist PSRs with patient check-ins/outs, verify demographics, scan insurance cards, collect co-pays.
• Review H&Ps and surgical documents for the week to ensure completeness and signatures.
