Three Crosses Regional Hospital is seeking a Surgical Scheduler/Prior Auth Clerk to join our team. The role involves scheduling surgeries, coordinating with hospitals, and obtaining prior authorizations, ensuring accurate pre-operative documentation and timely communication with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities include following clinic protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting staff across locations to ensure smooth surgical workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service/scheduling experience, preferably in medical setting.
• Billing and/or Coding certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries for designated physicians and follow-up appointments.
• Coordinates procedures with multiple hospitals and facilities.
• Obtains prior authorizations via payer websites or phone, and follows up on cases.
• Initiates appeals for denied authorizations when needed.
• Coordinates paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Maintains accurate documentation and effective communication with patients and staff.
• Ensures timely and confidential handling of surgical orders and paperwork.
