Job summary

Ascension is seeking an OR scheduling support professional in Oshkosh, WI, to partner with surgical teams and optimize operating room resources. You will help gather essential clinical details, align surgeon requests with guidelines, and ensure smooth admissions by accurate EMR data entry, billing, and demographics updates.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience) with no mandatory licensure.

• Partner with Surgical Teams: Collaborate closely with physician offices to gather essential clinical details, aligning surgeon requests and patient schedules with department guidelines.


• Optimize Resources: Efficiently allocate operating suites, specialized equipment, and surgical blocks to maximize hospital resources and ensure smooth daily schedules.


• Streamline Patient Care: Support seamless admissions by accurately entering demographic, insurance, and billing details into the EMR system, proactively preventing delays on surgery day.


• Navigate Complexities: Adapt quickly to changing priorities by rescheduling procedure times as needed to accommodate emergency cases and urgent patient needs.
