Job Description
Proficient in inpatient scheduling, professional telephone etiquette, and customer service to support CUH’s mission. Responsibilities include scheduling outpatient services, managing appointment changes and cancellations, and performing administrative duties. Act as a liaison with patients and clinical staff to communicate results and scheduling needs. Support scheduling at Gastroenterology’s ambulatory office, providing detailed information to patients, rescheduling procedures, and responding to inquiries. Handle incoming calls, check voicemails, and ensure accurate pre-registration and insurance coverage. Escalate issues to leadership as needed. Knowledge of medical insurance and billing is required. Must handle stressful situations efficiently with a focus on customer service.
Experience and Education Requirements
2-3 years in a medical or office setting. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Typing speed of 35-45 WPM; medical transcription experience preferred. Strong organizational skills are necessary.
