Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a dedicated perioperative nurse to join the intraoperative team. The role includes scrubbing and circulating, preparing cases, and ensuring aseptic technique to safeguard patients and staff. You will communicate with patients, physicians and families and participate in ongoing performance improvement.

The position requires call, weekends, nights and holidays as scheduled, with 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, across a full-time workweek.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice perinatal standards.
• Experience in intraoperative nursing and OR procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently, with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, anesthesia and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe patient environment.
• Collects and analyzes data and assesses patient in developing nursing diagnosis.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
