Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) for a full-time position. You will assist the surgeon in the operating room and related settings, applying specialized intraoperative skills to help ensure a safe, optimal patient outcome.

Requirements include CA RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree in nursing, CNOR certification, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. Ongoing CNOR maintenance and potential RNFA credentialing steps are expected as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s degree, currently licensed to practice in California (CA).
• CNOR certification required; existing RNFA will have one year to obtain CNOR. CNOR is a pre-requisite to CRNFA or RNAS-C certification.
• Must maintain currency with CNOR and attain CRNFA or RNAS-C within 2 years for ongoing employment.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• NRP if working in obstetrical areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in intraoperative procedures in the operating room and related settings.
• Apply knowledge, skill, and judgment to support safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with state nursing practice acts and surgical assisting regulations.
• Functions under direct supervision of the surgeon and adheres to CNOR/RNFA requirements.
