Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California RN license.
• ACLS & BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Formal RN First Assistant (RNFA) education/certification.
• Demonstrated OR experience.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection prevention.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Function as Registered Nurse First Assistant during surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgeon with procedures under supervision.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perioperative nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform surgical counts and support safety protocols.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, organized operating room environment.
• Provide patient advocacy throughout the perioperative experience.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
